Janette Duncan Fiddler
I was born  in San Francisco and raised in a musical family. My granddad was a fiddler and my father was a guitar player. When my dad had gigs, I remember playing in the sawdust and back rooms of the Country / Western bars in Brisbane and SF. Naturally,  I wanted to play that kind of music but the men in my family did  not  think it was ladylike. So, I took classical lessons for many years and I had to sneak learning fiddle tunes. I gave up classical playing in college and then in my late 20’s started to seriously fiddle around. I had to make up for lost time.
